Color theory is linked to psychology and the ability color has to affect a person’s mood, behavior and emotional responses.
From your invitations, dress colors, linens, florals and accents, color helps carry your theme. Once I see a couple’s Pinterest board, I’m able to see the colors that they are most attracted to. I do take it a couple steps further to ask what their favorite colors are, what colors are in their closet and what colors are emphasized in their home. All of this is so important when using color theory to determine your wedding colors… we want it to feel right!
Monochromatic color theory is my FAVORITE, and it’s on trend in 2023. Monochromatic is using various tones and shades of one color.
To expand on your décor we pull in different textures and accents with metal or ceramic tones to give you a one of a kind, well put together wedding look. This can be simple and elegant or dramatic and modern. Keeping your monochromatic tones throughout each stage of your event will keep everything feeling consistent.
The mood board I created shows the different color shades, but also the texture in the chargers and it brings out the best tones to accent the tablescape. The warm tones of the flatware and of the lighting hanging over the table just give the décor a little something extra.
My role as event designer is to work side by side with you, our planning team and your vendors to create a cohesive elevated look and give you the wedding of your dreams.
Xoxo,
Margette
