Top NY Summer Camp Wedding Venues

It’s not often we can get everyone we love together. Weddings tend to be the exception to the rule and we are finding more and more couples want to make the most of that time and turn their wedding day into a wedding weekend. Camp weddings seem to be one of the best ways to do that, and lucky for us there are lots of great summer camps in our area. Having your wedding at a camp gives you sleeping accommodations for your guests, on site dining in most cases and outdoor activities to fill a weekend! Here is a list of the camps we’ve seen and LOVED!

Forest Lake Camp
Located an hour north of Albany, this Adirondack Camp gives you a secluded feeling, allowing you and your guests to immerse yourselves into the wedding day festivities and scenery. Forest Lake Camp gives you the ability to house up to 200 guests, has 20 miles of private hiking and biking trails, athletic fields and the opportunity to make the most of your wedding weekend with your friends and family.

Camp Chingachgook
Located on Lake George, Camp Chingachgook gives you so many options for the layout of your event. With multiple indoor lodges and outdoor pavilions, you are able to accommodate your guests count at every turn. This YMCA camp can support up to 300 guests!  Although lodging on site is not available for weddings this venue is a close drive to Lake George Village where lots of hotel options exist.

The Lodge on Echo Lake
Located in Warrensburg, NY, this all season’s venue can accommodate a wedding with up to 200 guests. 60 of them can stay on property in their private lodging options. Whether you’re picturing an indoor or outdoor ceremony, they’ve got it covered. With the elegance of the dance floor overlooking the lake and the youthfulness of the optional camp event, it’ll be a weekend to remember.

Tyler Hill Camp
Located in Wayne County, PA (2 hours northwest of NYC), Tyler Hill is a great camp venue for people looking to host their wedding further south. Weddings here are full weekend long events that you can enjoy with your friends and family, participating in lake activities, arts and crafts, or s’mores by the fire. With cabins on site, no one has to go anywhere!

Camp Gorham
Located in the Adirondack Mountains on 1,500 acres with a private lake and winterized cabins, this is a good all season venue to consider. You and your guests can enjoy the summer festivities on the lake, or some picturesque snowy mountains.  And this YMCA camp has a indoor and outdoor space for ceremonies and receptions so you can customize your event however you would like.

Jimbo’s Club at the Point
Located on Brant Lake with the ability to house up to 200 guests, this all season’s venue is a must consider option if you are looking for a camp wedding. They have the largest open floor reception room in the Adirondacks, overlooking the lake and can comfortably serve 300 guests. They have numerous activities for your guests, including ice skating and hot cocoa during the winter months.

Ashokan Center
Located in the Catskills, this is another all season’s venue to consider. Choosing the Ashokan Center supports their not- for-profit work in music and environmental education. They can accommodate up to 185 guests with various types of lodging available for them.  They even have a Pewter Shop and a covered bridge on site!

Whether you want s’mores by the campfire, kayaking on the lake or the peacefulness of a winter wonderland, you and your loved ones will remember a weekend like this for the rest of your lives.

Xoxo,
The WPP Team
