Jingyuan and Aaron – July 11, 2015

Jingyuan and Aaron were married in Albany on July 11, 2015.  Their ceremony was officiated by Aaron’s uncle at St Paul’s Lutheran Church and their reception was celebrated at The Desmond Hotel.   I was first introduced to these two after receiving a call from a close friend and the “American Mom” of the bride who wanted to help Jingyuan plan her big day.  Jingyuan is originally from China and wanted to experience all of the American wedding traditions but didn’t know enough about the process to do it by herself.
Jingyuan wanted to blend some of the Chinese wedding traditions with the ones we are used to seeing at weddings in America.  She chose red as her main color but wanted to add in pops of pinks and whites to make her flowers and tables look a little more festive.  She wore a beautiful white fairy tale wedding dress, got to ride in a limo to the reception, she had a three tiered traditional wedding cake and got to toss her bouquet at the end of the night.  Along with the traditional Chinese color of red Jingyuan added in the custom of sharing tea with the parents and had some Chinese songs played when it came time for dancing.  She and Aaron both looked so happy throughout the day and I loved seeing how excited they were with how everything came together!
And I can’t write up this blog without talking about how in love these two are.  With one glance at these wedding photos you will see exactly what I mean.  Aaron is so sweet to Jingyuan and when he looks at her you can just feel how in love with her he is.  Every girl wishes to find a husband who looks at her the way Aaron looks at Jingyuan!
Joining me on this wedding was a great team of vendors!  First I have to credit Justin Tibbitts for doing an amazing job with Jingyuan and Aaron’s photos.  If you haven’t worked with Justin before be prepared for him to bring a ton of energy to a wedding day!  Amanda Stankavich was our contact at The Desmond and she and her team were a pleasure to work with!  Ben Pliss of Ben Pliss Media had his camera rolling all day and Jeff Richards from Piano Man DJ kept the reception moving with an eclectic mix of music.  All of the flowers were done by Lisa Russell at Central Market Florist in East Greenbush, and I just loved how Jingyuan’s cascading bouquet came out!  Hair and makeup was done by Plush Salon, their limo was provided by Premiere Transportation, and their wedding cake was made by Hong Kong Bakery.
Thank you Jingyuan and Aaron for being such a sweet couple to work with!  It was so fun for me to walk through every step of this journey with you, and I am so thrilled with how amazing your day truly was.  Best of luck to you and I hope to see you both again someday!
xoxo,
Shannon
