Franklin Plaza Wedding – Christina and Dan

029christina and dan blog.jpg

Christina and Dan were married in Troy with their ceremony at St. Joseph’s Church and their reception at Franklin Plaza. After having the pleasure of coordinating Dan’s sister’s wedding in 2015 and then Dan’s cousin’s wedding in 2017 I can say I have been watching the love between Christina and Dan grow first hand! It was an honor to be asked to be included in another family wedding.

Leading up to their wedding Christina and Dan were living in Virginia and planning a destination wedding weekend in their hometown in Upstate New York. On the day of their wedding their families were so ready to celebrate them! The beautiful church of St. Joseph’s was the site of an emotional and sweet wedding ceremony. The church courtyard and the weeping willow trees there made for a great photo backdrop, as did the urban oasis of Troy’s Washington Park. “Don’t Stop Me Now” by Queen accompanied the excited energy of friends and family entering the Franklin Plaza to begin the reception. As the new Mr. and Mrs. entered the room as explosion of applause and whistles erupted. Teary eyed loved ones swayed as Christina and Dan shared their first dance as husband and wife. Heartfelt stories were told and wishes were bestowed upon the couple as family and friends toasted to their future. The love, excitement and laughter filling the ballroom could not be contained to simply a few hours. Friends and family joined the newlyweds on the rooftop lounge of Franklin Plaza until the wee hours of the morning. Celebrating what is sure to be a lifetime of happiness.

Christina and Dan it was a pleasure to watch your love story unfold over the years, and I was truly honored to be asked to play a role in your wedding day. I wish you a lifetime of love and laughter!

xoxo,

Aissa
