Some wedding days feel like destiny—and for Erin, this one truly was. Ever since she was a little girl, she dreamed of getting married at The Sagamore Resort on Lake George. And on a beautiful July day, that dream came to life in the most stunning way.
The morning began with laughter and champagne as Erin got ready with her wedding party. Matching pajamas and a playful photo outside the resort set the tone for the fun day ahead. Meanwhile, Darin was getting ready with his groomsmen, eagerly awaiting the moment he could put on his crisp white tuxedo jacket—a detail that made him feel like the groom he always envisioned.
Erin’s gown was a true showstopper—delicate floral appliqués graced every inch of the dress, giving it an editorial elegance that called for an equally refined backdrop. She and her mom took portraits in front of a canvas brought by the photographer, creating timeless images full of beauty and sentiment.
With anticipation building, Erin made her way down a shaded stone path to meet Darin for their first look. Hidden among hedges and trees, it was an intimate and heartfelt moment—made even sweeter with a thoughtful gift exchange between the two.
After a few quiet moments together, it was time to gather the wedding party. On the resort’s third-floor balcony, friends eagerly peered over the railing, cheering as they saw Erin and Darin walking up to join them. That pure excitement set the tone for the group portraits, but it was the images taken down on the Lakeview Lawn—with Sagamore’s iconic boat The Morgan in the background—that truly captured the heart of the setting.
As guests began arriving, the ceremony space transformed into a lakeside dream. Rattan baskets overflowed with florals, a grounded arch framed the altar, and soft blue bows marked reserved seating. The ceremony itself was intentionally simple and intimate—just Erin and Darin standing side by side. Without a formal wedding party flanking them, the focus remained entirely on their connection and commitment to one another.
The reverend spoke beautifully, and as vows were exchanged and their marriage was pronounced, Erin and Darin sealed it all with a joyful dip in the center of the aisle—cue the collective “aww.”
As guests made their way to cocktail hour, they were given a preview of the magic waiting for them inside the tent. Textured linens and lush florals echoed the beauty to come. A floral installation surrounded the table assignments, mirroring the reception design, while live music offered a teaser of the band’s high-energy set later that evening.
And then, the tent reveal—where you could see in their faces that Erin and Darin’s wedding dream had come true. A mix of long and round tables were layered with taper and floating candles. Florals overflowed as centerpieces. A brown-and-white checkered dance floor anchored the space, and rattan pendant lights floated above. But the star of the show? The wedding cake, displayed right in the center of the tent and decorated to match Erin’s gown. Each delicate sugar flower was shaped to mirror the blooms on her dress—an absolute masterpiece.
Erin and Darin made their grand entrance and shared their first dance, followed by an open dance set that had everyone on their feet. The energy was electric, and the love in the room was palpable. Toasts were given, parent dances brought tears, and the cake cutting was nothing short of iconic.
But the night wasn’t over yet! As the reception wrapped up, the band led guests outside—where a surprise firework show lit up the night sky over Lake George. It was a magical, cinematic ending to a day already full of unforgettable moments.
The celebration continued at the after party, which was transformed into a disco dreamland. A disco ball photo wall, a disco balloon archway, and glittering orbs in every size made the space sparkle—and guests danced late into the night.
The WPP Team had such an amazing time planning, designing and coordinating the wedding for Erin and Darin. It was a day so full of love, joy, and intention that it reminded all of us why we do what we do. And that we love every single moment of it.
