THE JOURNAL

Catherine & Reid- Buttermilk Falls Inn & Spa

We helped bring Catherine and Reid’s vision to life in the Catskills at the beginning of September. A weekend that reminded us how beautiful love can be, even with a little rain in the forecast.

The morning started with a soft drizzle, creating the dreamiest, most romantic haze over the property. While Reid played a round of tennis, Catherine got ready with her bridesmaids at the Buttermilk Falls Inn. The two were just a short distance apart, surrounded by their closest friends and family, eagerly anticipating the moment they’d finally see each other.

Once dressed, they shared a few quiet moments with their immediate families before the ceremony, sweet, heartfelt time with the ones who love them most. As the rain let up, Catherine walked down the aisle with her parents to meet Reid for the first time. Their ceremony took place under a clear-top tent adorned with lush florals that beautifully complemented the pond and willow tree behind them, a truly breathtaking backdrop.

After saying “I do,” the newlyweds took photos with their bridal party, then stole a few moments for themselves (and a few bites of hors d’oeuvres) before joining guests for cocktail hour under a sailcloth tent. It was the perfect preview for what awaited under the reception tent, a romantic space filled with farm tables, lush greenery, endless candlelight, and a black-and-white checkered dance floor. From there, guests were treated to stunning views of the Hudson River, a reminder of why Catherine and Reid chose this gorgeous venue.

The night continued with heartfelt dances, cake cutting, and an ice cream cart where the couple scooped treats for their guests. Just when everyone thought the night couldn’t get more magical, a surprise drone show lit up the sky, courtesy of their parents.

It was a day full of love, laughter, and a little rain that only made the moments shine brighter.

Xoxo,
Eliza
