Kaitlin and Nicholas’ wedding at the Carey Institute for Global Good was like a Catskills Mountain fairytale. The Carey Institute offers lodging onsite and an array of outdoor activities so weddings here are celebrated from Friday to Sunday, giving couples the perfect place to gather all of their favorite people and make memories to last a lifetime. The weather throughout the weekend was perfect which allowed all of the events for the weekend to take place as planned. Guests enjoyed a fun Friday night welcome dinner under the stars, had access to hiking, tennis, and lawn games before getting dressed for the wedding on Saturday, and the celebration ended with a sweet sendoff brunch on Sunday morning.
The day of the wedding it was like there was magic in the air. After a lovely private first look Kaitlin and Nicholas had their ceremony in the woods where a group of deer came by to visit as they were wed. Cocktail hour on the lawn followed, and guests took place cards made by Kaitlin’s parents which were pages from her favorite books. Everyone then made their way to the tent which was beautifully decorated with farm tables, greenery garland and strings of bistro lights. The dance floor was hopping all night and the only break the couple took was to get a sweet treat from the ice cream truck that stopped by late night. All of the details of their day were so sweet and special.
Kaitlin and Nicholas – Your wedding was so fun and I had such an amazing time working with you! Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your day!
xoxo,
Erin M
