Here in upstate NY, we love a good barn wedding! There are so many options to choose from and we wanted to show you a few that we find unique.
Windham Manor
The Barn of Windham Manor is truly beautiful. This barn was built in 2019 with weddings in mind. You can comfortably seat at least 300 guests in the barn. Its climate control settings make it a good “all seasons” venue. Additional features are its stone fireplace, a bridal suite, a coat-check area, an indoor balcony running the perimeter of the barn and an outdoor balcony for all the dreamy pictures overlooking the mountains.
The Promise Gardens of the Adirondacks
Their website depicts is perfectly… the meticulously manicured grounds of The Promise Gardens are accented with custom-designed perennial gardens, flowering trees, and romantic meadows. The gardens were designed to provide unique and elegant spaces for your ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and reception.
The Hudson Barn offers a generous garden terrace and deck with chic outdoor furnishings, an impressive crystal chandelier, and indoor cocktail lounge area. The perfect place to host your reception with music and dancing.
A Private Estate
A Private Estate is the northernmost property in a 19 mile National Register Historic District, two hours north of New York City. This unique property gives you the waterside aesthetic being right on the river, beautiful scenery, the barn with a deck and patio attached and the carriage house for onsite lodging if you choose. The layout lets your guests feel like they are getting multiple experiences in one event.
Barn at Lord Howe Valley
Located between Lake George and Lake Champlain, with views of the valley and surrounding mountains, this beautiful barn is a fabulous option to consider for your wedding. With sliding doors that open on both sides of the barn, you can get that open air feeling while enjoying the view.
The Historic Barn at Nipmoose
The Historic Barns of Nipmoose feature three fully restored historic barns centrally set on 120 acres of preserved farmland in New York’s upper Hudson River Valley. Nipmoose’s secluded setting and pristine barns create an extraordinary venue for weddings, events and photo shoots.
Sablewood
Located in the Catskill Mountains of upstate NY, this climate controlled barn is another perfect “any seasons” venue. Between the restored circa 1870 barn and the 120 acres of lush fields and mountain views, your photos will be breathtaking.
Blenheim Hill Farm
Also located in the Catskills, this barn venue holds up to 250 guests and gives you the option of holding your ceremony at their private lake. It also has a unique feature of being farm-to-table. Their Michelin chefs grow and prepare the food right on site, how cool!
Greywacke Meadows
Greywacke is located in Grafton, NY, near the borders of NY, VT and MA. The Town of Grafton was built on a ridge of greywacke rock. The venue was named Greywacke because the large boulders throughout the meadow and the stone walls surrounding the venue barn are greywacke rock. The mother and son owners loved the sense of history behind it. These would be perfect places for some photos!
Pruyn House
This barn is the perfect size for an intimate wedding of about 85 people. With the walk through garden outside, it gives it that sort of whimsical feel. This is the only barn on the list that is in the Capital District.
We love doing venue walkthroughs with our couples to make sure their vision comes to life. The excitement they express when they’ve found their place is contagious. If a barn is what you’re after, we’ve got you covered!
Xoxo,
The WPP Team
