THE JOURNAL

Matt and Scott – July 16, 2016

Matt and Scott had a beautiful union at Hamilton College on July 16, 2016. It was such a pleasure to coordinate this amazing day for such an awesome couple! Matt and Scott both attended Hamilton College so it was really special that they chose Hamilton as the venue for their wedding.

The ceremony was held in Memorial Chapel and the reception was at Bristol Center, both of which are right on the beautiful Hamilton College Campus. Bristol Center is a great spot because it has a giant outdoor terrace for events and also guest accommodations available indoors. My team and I started the day by setting up various reception items underneath two large reception tents (provided by Ralston Supply) and then working with the wonderful florist, Laurie from Chester’s Flowers, to distribute personal florals. Matt and Scott chose to do a first reveal in the lovely gardens at Hamilton, and then we followed up the first reveal with family photos. We had the pleasure of working with the Washington DC based – John Jack Photography who captured this day perfectly.

We also had the pleasure to work with musician Scott Sanchez who provided the ceremony music in the chapel, as well as friend of the couple Kara Novak who graced us with some beautiful piano playing also in the chapel. Following the ceremony, guests headed to the cocktail party where they were greeted with a delicious hors d’ouevres spread courtesy of Poolville Country Store Catering and more music provided by Scott Sanchez. It certainly didn’t hurt that it was an absolutely beautiful July day!

After several toasts by family and friends, guests mixed, mingled and enjoyed a stationed style dinner and then the Gem Fatales band took the stage. This Baltimore-based trio of entertainers was absolutely fantastic and kept guests dancing and smiling all night long! Later into the evening, wedding cake provided by Classy Cakes was cut and enjoyed by all.

Special thanks also goes out to the wonderful folks at Hamilton College, including but not limited to Danelle and Irene, Turning Stone Resort for guest accommodations, Bon Appetit for supplying the bar and Steve from CNY Productions for providing the sound engineering for the evening.
We also would like to thank Matt and Scott again for choosing us to coordinate your spectacular day! We loved being part of it and wish you nothing but happiness and joy in your marriage!
xoxo,
Erin R
