THE JOURNAL

Stephanie & Tenneson- Saratoga City Center

It is always a great feeling when a member of the wedding vendor community asks us to plan and coordinate their own wedding day, and we definitely felt special honors for being asked to create the wedding weekend for Stephanie and Tenneson.  With two days of events, over 500 guests, a myriad of vendors from near and far, and an incredible fusion of cultural traditions, the day was a smashing success, leaving both the guests and our team with hearts full of joy and appreciation.

Stephanie is of Chinese heritage and Tenneson is Indian, and the wedding was a celebration highlighting both of their cultures, which was so exciting for us to pull off.  On night one they hosted a welcome party for all of their guests which was a time for all to come together and enjoy time as the family units came together.  On Saturday the ceremony was a beautiful blend of both cultures, reflecting the couple’s deep respect for their heritage and their commitment to embracing each other’s traditions. The bride looked radiant in a traditional Chinese outfit for the tea ceremony, while the groom looked regal for the Hindu wedding rituals. There were a total of four outfit changes for each of them that night and they both looked more spectacular from one outfit to the next!

As an Indian wedding caterer, the groom brought his expertise and passion for food to the table, quite literally! The culinary experience was a highlight of the day, offering guests a delightful array of dishes from both Chinese and Indian cuisines. They even included an American caterer to provide a bridge of both cultures so everyone had something amazing to enjoy.

The wedding of Stephanie and Tenneson was not just a celebration of love between two individuals but also a celebration of family, culture, and community. The joy and warmth felt throughout the day were palpable, and it was clear that everyone had a fantastic time. We are incredibly grateful to have been a part of this beautiful journey for a wedding vendor now turned friend, and are honored to have helped make this day as perfect for them as it could be.

Xoxo,
Shannon
