Aryana and Tim were married at Livingston Manor at Oak Hill in the Catskills. These are two of the sweetest and most genuine people I have ever met and I enjoyed every second of the two years I spent planning their wedding with them. Because they live in North Carolina all of their planning was done through email and phone calls, and even after building a relationship with them over 24 months of planning I didn’t actually get to meet them in person until the day before their wedding! But the moment I saw them my heart just melted for them and from that point on you would have thought that we had been friends for years.
There was a lot of thought put into the planning of this wedding, and some of my favorite elements were the Iranian traditions that they incorporated to celebrate Aryana’s side of the family. During their ceremony they participated in a sugar ceremony where female guests shook sugar sticks over their heads as a sign of blessing and good fortune. There was a beautiful table set up in the reception barn that displayed some of Aryana’s father’s keepsakes. And the dance floor was opened with traditional Persian music which got all of the guests up on their feet.
Aryana and Tim kept their wedding details simple – just a Maid of Honor and a Best Man in their bridal party, no reception introductions, no first dance or parent dances, and no extraneous activities to take away from the celebration of their love. It was the perfect celebration for two people so deeply in love with each other (you can feel it in these photos!).
Congratulations Aryana and Tim! Thank you for choosing me to be your wedding planner. I wish you a lifetime of happy tears and starlit nights!
xoxo,
Shannon
