Mikala and Kyle were married on a moody spring day at the Golden Arrow Lakeside Resort in Lake Placid—a perfectly Adirondack setting for a couple who embraces nature, family, and meaningful moments. As cousins of Shannon’s husband (yes, our very own WPP owner!), this day was even more special for us to be part of.

The weather may have called for rain, but the skies paused just long enough for their ceremony overlooking the lake. It was a magical 15-minute window where the drizzle cleared, and Mikala and Kyle exchanged vows surrounded by their joyful bridal party and family. The blue and green color palette couldn’t have complemented the Adirondack scenery more beautifully—it felt like the mountains themselves were in celebration mode.

In one of our favorite moments of the day, the couple hopped into a gondola for some photos on the lake. The soft mist, the still water, and their quiet togetherness made for a moment as serene as it was romantic.

Back inside, the reception was filled with laughter, live music from a fantastic band, and a sweet tribute to Mikala’s late father in the form of a “silly juice” shot—bringing smiles, tears, and a true sense of his presence. Their first dance was extra meaningful, shared with their adorable son Mikey—a moment that had everyone misty-eyed.

Guests enjoyed delicious cupcakes, snapped pics in the photo booth, and danced the night away in true Adirondack style. Mikala and Kyle’s day was heartfelt, joyful, and full of love—and we were so honored to be a part of it.
