THE JOURNAL

Megan & Luis- A Capital District Wedding

On June 8th, 2024, Megan and Luis began their married life together with a celebration that was heartfelt and joyful. The day unfolded with love, laughter, and a perfect blend of elegance and warmth that reflected both their personalities and the season’s vibrant charm.

The morning started quietly, with both Megan and Luis preparing for the day ahead. Megan was surrounded by her closest friends—and her dogs, who added a sweet, familiar comfort to the getting-ready process. Those furry family members even made a special appearance for post–first look family photos, making the memories even more meaningful.

The couple shared their vows in a church ceremony, surrounded by the glowing faces of their loved ones. After they said “I do,” guests showered them with cheers and a playful cascade of bubbles in a picture-perfect send-off that sparkled in the late spring sun.

The celebration continued at Megan’s parents’ home in the Capital District, as it transformed into a beautifully tented reception space. A fresh and romantic color palette of pinks, golds, greens, and delicate florals perfectly captured the spirit of the season—a seamless bridge between spring’s bloom and summer’s warmth.

Guests enjoyed a relaxed cocktail hour, followed by a heartfelt reception filled with toasts, dancing, and plenty of personal touches. A simple yet charming cutting cake stole the spotlight, topped with two adorable bunny figurines dressed as bride and groom. Cupcakes were also on hand for everyone to enjoy—sweet, whimsical, and completely fitting for the laid-back elegance of the day.

As the sun set, the celebration wound down with a cozy fire that invited quiet conversations and laughter.

Megan and Luis’s wedding was a beautiful reminder that love is in the details—and when those details come together with heart and intention, it creates a day no one will forget.

Xoxo,
Shannon
