Kristy & Ovais – The Sagamore | Wedding Planning Plus

Kristy and Ovais held their wedding at The Sagamore Resort on the shores of Lake George. I will always remember them as one of the sweetest couples! They had so much love for each other, along with their family and friends.

They celebrated their love with a beautiful Muslim ceremony at the Veranda Lower Terrace, with the view of Lake George and the Adirondacks behind them. Ovais had his big entrance beginning with a surprise ride in a vintage Bel Air, a boat ride to the terrace and his family lifting him onto their shoulders as they danced into the ceremony for the Baraat.

Kristy’s mom had passed away when she was younger, but her mom was certainly with them in many ways. Kristy had left the first seat at the ceremony open with a beautiful bouquet in memory of her mom. She pinned a picture of her mom to her own bridal bouquet, along with a piece of jewelry from her. She had a seat open at the reception entrance with a sign that read “I’m in heaven for your wedding so, what shall I do? I will come down to earth to spend it with you. So, save me a seat, just one comfy chair. You may not see me, but I will be there.” Kristy also had a piece of her mother’s wedding dress sewn onto the inside of her dress in the shape of a heart. Kristy’s mom may not have physically been there, but her spirit certainly was.

At the reception, they had white glove service provided by The Sagamore’s team and danced the night away thanks to DJ Mike Reilly! It was a celebration they – and I – will never forget!
