Chelsea & Price – Their Private Property

Chelsea and Price’s wedding was intimate and beautiful, set at their home in rural Rensselaer County . Their celebration was a true reflection of who they are—laid-back, joyful, creative, and full of love.

While they chose to forgo a traditional bridal party, Chelsea wasn’t without her support. Her twin sister was by her side in the morning, helping her get ready. With her sister’s help, Chelsea slipped into her dress, the final touch before heading off to meet her groom.

The couple shared a private first look on the pback lawn, tucked away from the hustle of the rest of their wedding day. It was just the two of them and a quiet moment to soak it all in. Then, rather than the traditionally escorted walk down the aisle, they processed to the ceremony together, hand in hand, from behind the ceremony space.  Instead of walking down the typical ceremony aisle they walked down the hill of tall grass towards their guests before landing on the altar area.  It was a unique entrance and perfectly “them”.

After saying their vows, guests were welcomed to cocktail hour and the reception on the lawn next to their red barn. String lights twinkled overhead, casting a warm glow as the sun dipped behind the fields. The barn and the open countryside provided the most picturesque backdrop—no tent or extra décor needed.

The center of each table held sweet bud vases and a gas burning lanterns to set the tone.  Disposable cameras were set out, encouraging guests to document the evening from their own perspective. The smaller barn was transformed into a cozy bar setup, perfect for mingling and refills. As the night wore on, guests danced under the stars, gathered around fire pits, and reveled in the magic of it all.

Of note:  The couple kicked off the dancing with a high-energy twist—Tequila by The Champs blared through the speakers as tequila shots made their way around the crowd. It was the perfect icebreaker and the perfect way to say: let’s celebrate.  🙂

Everything about Chelsea and Price’s day was simple, magical, and intentional. No unnecessary frills, no unneeded fuss—just love, laughter, and a whole lot of heart and soul.  Thanks so much for inviting us to play a part in the big day!

Xoxo,
Shannon
