Amber and Harley’s wedding was a celebration two years in the making. They made the entire process so smooth and enjoyable for our planning team with their easy going nature, and the results were nothing short of spectacular. Held over three unforgettable days at Forest Lake Camp in Chestertown, NY, their wedding brought together the charm of summer camp nostalgia and the beauty of timeless romance.

The festivities began on Friday, with guests arriving to enjoy camp activities, delicious food, a lively welcome party, and an evening bonfire. Everyone stayed overnight in the camp’s cozy cabins, setting the stage for a weekend full of connection and joy.

The wedding day arrived with the promise of rain, but Amber and Harley’s spirits remained undampened. Their First Look, held in front of a grand fireplace adorned with lush flowers, was nothing short of magical. The intimate setting served as the perfect backdrop for bridal party and family portraits, making full use of the stunning indoor space. Later, the fireplace was transformed into their ceremony site, with glowing candles on the mantle, a close-knit group of guests, and a colorful bridal party bringing warmth and vibrancy to the room. The bridesmaids’ dresses in shades and patterns of pink and the groomsmen’s classic black attire created a striking contrast that perfectly captured the couple’s unique style.

After the ceremony, guests enjoyed a delightful indoor/outdoor cocktail hour featuring a creative potted plant escort display. Each plant was labeled with a guest’s table assignment, adding a charming and eco-friendly touch to the celebration.

Then, as if by a miracle, the rain cleared, and the sun broke through the clouds. Seizing the moment, Amber and Harley were whisked away to their original ceremony location: a breathtaking mountaintop overlooking the Adirondacks. The post-rain haze and golden light created an ethereal scene, reminiscent of ancient landscapes. Their sunset portraits captured this once-in-a-lifetime moment, with a dramatic backdrop so awe-inspiring it felt as if dinosaurs might stroll through at any moment.

The celebration continued with an unforgettable reception filled with epic dances, the cutting of a flower-encased cake, and an endless night of fun. From the first kickoff call two years ago to the final dance, Amber and Harley’s wedding exceeded every expectation, proving that the best things in life are worth the wait.
