THE JOURNAL

Sarah and Ed – November 3, 2012

Sarah and Eddie were married on November 3, 2012.  Their ceremony was in St. Mary’s Church in downtown Albany and their reception was held at River Stone Manor in Glenville.  Sarah and Ed met while attending Siena College so having an Albany area wedding was just perfect for them.  They even got a chance to go to their alma mater for some photos which is super fun!  Sarah wore a stunning wedding gown and chose a cathedral length veil with scalloped edges which looked divine together.  I mean you can see here in these photos – she was seriously a super stunning bride!
The couple had a theme of black and white and kept all of their decor elements very elegant and classy.  At their reception they incorporated a lot of personal design details like a candy bar with monogrammed to-go bags, drink stirrers with their initials on them, and a custom made escort board with matching table numbers (board and numbers made by my boyfriend and live-in designer Adam Anson).  The room looked beautiful and all of the soft flower colors and black and white design elements all tied in very well together.
This wedding was so fun for me to plan and coordinate because Sarah and Eddie are amazing together plus they have clear ideas and make quick solid decisions.  It’s always nice to work with a couple like that!  I also had the pleasure of spending the day with my best friend and bridesmaid in this wedding, Erin Dewey, and a team of my most favorite vendor friends!  For photography the couple chose Matt and Leah Bailly of Bailly Photography who I always love working with (and sharing an office with!).  Mike Garassi of Music Man Entertainment was their DJ and kept the dance floor packed all night.  Check out some of the great dance shots below – these guys know how to party!  Brian Moak of Moak Films did their videography, Lisa Russell of Central Market Florist did their bouquets and centerpieces, and Alayne Curtiss and her fab team from Make Me Fabulous rocked it on the girls’ hair and makeup.  Sarah and Eddie’s cake was from Villa Italia, they had harpist Leah Kidwell-Fernandes play for their ceremony, and transportation was provided by Premiere Transportation (bridal party VIP van) and Brown Coach (shuttle buses for the guests).
This wedding was one of my favorite of the year and it’s been so fun for me to go through their photos and post this wedding on my blog because it’s like being able to relive their perfect day all over again!  Thank you Sarah and Eddie for choosing me as your planner!!
